Kettlebells- The What, How & Why

For the month of July our Wine Down Wednesday instructor will be Stefanie from Flexology Strength and Fitness Club in Clayton, MO. Stefanie will be teaching the ins and outs of an effective kettlebell workout. Before we "swing" into the month of July we wanted to take the time to get to know the beloved kettlebell.

What is a Kettlebell?

A kettlebell is a large cast iron ball shaped weight with a single handle.  The weight of the bell is unevenly distributed, due to its shape, causing more muscles to engage while performing an exercise.

How to use it?

Kettlebells can be used in a variety of ways. They can be used for deadlifts, rows, swings, squats & many more ways!  We recommend seeking advice from a certified trainer for the proper technique (or coming to our WDW with Stefanie).

Why we love them?

Kettlebells are an amazing piece of equipment. They can used in so many different ways for a total body workout!
