#WDW Just Breathe: Introducing Jamie Austin of Mindful Movements

Moving back to St. Louis and taking on a job with a lot of stress took a toll on my body. I decided to leave the position and find something new. What I found was a position at a yoga studio. I learned SO MUCH! Not only did I get my teacher certification in 2013 but also experienced the business aspects of running studio.
At the end of October 2015 a wonderful woman and friends set up a business meeting then invited me to attend. I did not understand at the time how much this one meeting would change the rest of my life. By the end of the meeting I realized I was being given a mind-blowing opportunity, a chance to open my own yoga studio. The startling part is the location is one block from where I previously considered opening a studio.
Mindful Movements is a space for those looking to move the body and quiet the mind. To find flexibility and strength. Building a community for people of varying backgrounds and abilities to practice and supporting their desire for a healthy lifestyle.
I have been a practitioner of yoga for the better part of 15 years. As my exercising routines varied I always came back to yoga, finding it peaceful. Yoga allows me to listen to my inner voice and make wiser decisions. Best part? The fact that I get to share something that has had a positive impact on my life.
