Meet your Trainer

Amy Gielow
Motto: "If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you!" 

Meet Amy. Shred415 instructor by morning (shout out to her amazing, hard working 5am Shredders), a high school history/special education teacher by day, and a lover of wine, cheese, and sweets by night.

Amy's fitness journey started about 7 years ago when she had been struggling with an eating disorder given a rough patch in her life. She decided it was time to take control and get back her health - so she signed up for a half marathon on a whim. When Amy first began, her best was 1 mile. But, from that mile on, Amy also began to fall in love with pushing herself past her limits - whether it be running, boxing, weight lifting, or hiking. The challenge is what kept her coming back for more. Amy's favorite workouts left her sweaty and was always pushing her to the max. Enter Shred415. Amy started Shred in 2013, when she thought she was in great shape. UNTIL, she went to her first Shred class,

Amy earned a personal training certification through NASM in 2015 and started teaching classes at Shred in 2016.

"I love every second of teaching clients of all ability levels. I love incorporating moves and equipment (mini bands!) that most people would never do on their own. I love challenging people to add just .1 on that pace on the treadmill. I love seeing people leave better than when they walked in. I love pushing people to their max and beyond. It’s not about me, it’s about my clients and myself working as a team to reach new heights and do the unthinkable!"
