Meet Your Instructors:
Kelley Bauer- Kelley is a 200-hour instructor currently obtaining her 500-hour certification through Urban Breath Yoga. Kelley has taught a range of clients with diverse abilities for over 5 years in gyms, corporate settings, and studios. Yoga found Kelley when she was 12, while she was experiencing back pain from scoliosis. Yoga, not surgery, was her treatment. Yoga has also challenged her to seek comfort in any uncomfortable situation, and she hopes to share these same gifts with you. Kelley strives to make her classes unique with creative sequencing. She offers a balanced yoga practice combining elements of strength and relaxation. Kelley teaches upbeat, dynamic flows along with passive stretching poses. Kelley believes yoga is about self-discovery and encourages play within your practice. Other than yoga, Kelley loves dancing, rock climbing and soaking up the sun.
Elizabeth Garvin - Elizabeth has been a yoga student since she was an older teenager, originally just practicing for the challenge and flexibility of it. However, each time the road of life became bumpy, she found that time on her mat would help smooth it out, even just a little—and sometimes "just a little" was also "just enough." For nearly 2 decades (rounding up), she's practiced and in the summer of 2016 she finally completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training through YogaWorks. While she enjoys practicing and teaching challenging poses, she also knows that sometimes you just need to lose yourself in your sequence. She invites you to come and enjoy a yoga practice (not a yoga mastery) and have fun in her class.
Lindy Schroeder - Lindy is 200-hour Yogaworks certified yoga instructor. She has experienced the power of yoga to bring comfort, space and ease to her aching, injured body and stillness to her mind. Lindy is passionate about helping students learn how they can experience these benefits too. Lindy's teaching style is based in the Yogaworks principle “ASE”-Align Stabilize Elongate with a focus on injury prevention. She believes yoga is for every person especially those who say they are not flexible enough for yoga. Lindy loves using props to help teach beginners proper alignment as well as to teach the experienced practitioner how to get the most from a posture. She enjoys learning about student’s unique needs and challenges and teaching them individualized techniques to help them get the most from their own yoga practice. When she's not teaching or practicing yoga, Lindy enjoys biking the KATY Trail and spending time with her husband, three sons and two Mini Schnauzers.
